Sort of Hungry is an educational puzzle platformer game where you take on the role of a trash bin—on a mission to satisfy his hunger. Inspired by the official Spanish waste sorting system, this short but juicy demo introduces you to a world of bins, bites, and bincredible learning moments.

This is not your average educational game. While you will learn how to sort waste properly by a trial and error method, the most important thing is to have fun doing it. Swallow up compostable items and ignore the wrong ones to unlock magical powers that you will need to advance through the levels. Unlock new characters—like the Glass Bin, the Paper Bin, and more—each with their own special talents.

How to Download & Play (A manual)

Click that big, tempting “Download” button. Choose the version for your system — Windows, macOS, or Linux. It’ll start downloading a
.zipfile full of greatness. -
Begin your eco-adventure by locating the
.zipfile — it’s most likely chilling in your “Downloads” folder, just waiting to be used. Take a deep breath and dive into your digital trash heap. (And hey, as you wade past ancient screenshots and forgotten PDFs, you might wonder: “When was the last time I cleaned this up?” Don’t worry — you can recycle your clutter after saving the world. Priorities.) Unzip the treasure:

On Windows: Right-click and select "Extract All," or just double-click and drag it out.

On macOS: Double-click the zip file — no sorting required.

On Linux: Use your file manager or unzip it with your favorite command-line magic (If your forced to use Linux and have no clue how this thing works, run
unzip filename.zipin the terminal, that should work.)

Open the new folder - you’ll find the executable ready to roll.

Run the game:

On Windows: Double-click the
.exefile. Ignore any trash talking like overdramatic warnings of unsafety— it’s clean, I swear on the sacred recycling triangle.. -
On macOS: Double-click the app. If macOS says it’s from an “unidentified developer,” go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy and click “Open Anyway.” I may be unidentified, but I sure am a guardian of the green code. Three arrows guide me.

On Linux: Make the game file executable (don’t worry,
chmod +xis your trusty sidekick). Then run it — like a true terminal hero. Watch out, though: The command line is full of secrets. Enter with courage, and the game will awaken.
